EVALUATION DOWNLOAD - Herd Management 2000 - Bison Edition ( Version 3.5 )

Herd Management 2000 - Bison Edition evaluation includes full functionality for the 30-day evaluation period. Two downloading options are included (single large file or floppy disk images). If you are having difficulty downloading the large single file then you may need to download multiple disk images. Please request for a set of diskettes if you are experiencing downloading difficulties. Print and fill out the request form and send it to First Step Software.

***The "User id" and password for Herd Management 2000 - Bison Edition evaluation version should be "demo" and "demo". After entering the user id and password at the Logon window, click the Login button to start evaluating the program.

***Although the Herd Management 2000 - Bison Edition program is quite self-explanatory, please study the tutorials within the help's introduction section for a better understanding. You can access the help section from any window while running the Herd Management 2000 - Bison Edition program by pressing the F1 key.

Single Large File:

Please download the following HM2KBI.EXE file into a temporary directory (EX: c:\hm2000temp). After the file is downloaded, run the file HM2KBI.EXE. Follow the detail instruction below to install this program properly.

HM2KBI.EXE (9.1M)

Detail Instruction:

1. Start "Window Explorer" (right-click on the desktop "Start" button, and select "Explore" from the pop-up menu)
2. Highlight drive C or any other desire drive (click on drive letter within "Folders" list on the left side)
3. Select "New" -> "Folder" from the "File" menu.
4. A new folder is created with the name "New Folder". You can change its name by typing in the new name. In this case name it "hm2000temp".
5. Go back to this WEB page.
6. Download the file "HM2KBI.EXE" above and save it in the new directory "hm2000temp". To download, just click on the listed file name.
7. After the file is downloaded, start "Window Explorer".
8. Locate directory "c:\hm2000temp" and double-click on "HM2KBI.EXE" file. This should unzip and setup Herd Management 2000 - Bison Edition.
9. Following setup, run the program with a newly created icon "Herd Management 2000 - Bison Edition".
10. The "logon id" and password should be "demo" and "demo".

Floppy Disk Images (3.5" HD):

Please download the following files into a temporary directory (EX: c:\hm2000temp). After the files are downloaded, run all files to uncompress files into floppy disks. Appropriately, label the disks in numerical order. Run setup.exe from disk #1 to install. Follow the detail instruction below to install this program properly.

Detail Instruction:

1. Start "Window Explorer" (right-click on the desktop "Start" button, and select "Explore" from the pop-up menu)

3. Select "New" -> "Folder" from the "File" menu.
4. A new folder is created with the name "New Folder". You can change its name by typing in the new name. In this case name it "hm2000temp".
5. Go back to this WEB page.
6. Download all 7 files above and save it in the new directory "hm2000temp". To download, just click on the listed file name.
7. After the files are downloaded, start "Window Explorer".
8. Locate directory "c:\hm2000temp" and double-click on "hm2kbi01.exe" file. This should unzip files of the Herd Management 2000 - Bison Edition setup program into disk #1.
9. Repeat step 8 for the other 6 files until you have a set of 7 setup disks.
10. Insert disk #1 into floppy disk drive.
11. Click the desktop "Start" button. Now, click "Run".
12. Within the "Open:" entry box, enter "A:\setup.exe". Click OK
13. Following setup, run the program with the newly created icon "Herd Management 2000 - Bison Edition".
14. The "logon id" and password should be "demo" and "demo".
